Photography guide — what to shoot
Real project photos convert far better than stock or renderings. When you are on site, capture:
- Before shots from a fixed spot — then stand in the exact same spot for the after shot. Matched pairs are the single most persuasive image you own.
- The damage close up — opened-up dry rot, corroded connections. This is what makes an owner act.
- Crew working — real people, real site. Never a stock photo of models in hard hats.
- Golden hour for finished work — late afternoon light flatters concrete, wood and stone.
- Landscape orientation, 1600px wide minimum — and keep the originals; they feed the website, Instagram and your proposals.
